View from England Avenue, East down 5th Street. If you look closely there is a bridge at the treed area. This is the intersection of 5th and Cliffe Avenue. CVIC is one block to the right on Cliffe. To the left is the Sid Williams Theater, Courtenay Library, and Courtenay Museum and Bus Depot. Over the bridge is Lewis Park, all within very easy walking distance of the school. The bridge crosses the Courtenay River (approximately 100 metres wide) which is a very important Salmon spawning River. The Puntledge and Tsolum Rivers feed into the Courtenay River.
