View from CVIC toward the 5th Street bridge. CVIC is located in the downtown core of Courtenay. This is the intersection of 6th and Cliffe Avenue. To the left is the Sid Williams Theater, Courtenay Library, Bus Depot and Courtenay Museum. Over the bridge is Lewis Park, all within very easy walking distance of the school. The bridge crosses the Courtenay River (approximately 100 metres wide) which is a very important Salmon spawning River. The Puntledge and Tsolum Rivers feed into the Courtenay River.
