The Courtenay and Distrcit Museum and Palaeontology Centre is located at 207 4th Street, Courtenay British Columbia in the old post office building. The museum features 80 million year old marine fossils including elasmosaurs, mosasaurs and other invertebrate fossils. Other displays include First Nations and pioneer artifacts. Open year round 10am-5pm but closed on Sunday and Monday in winter. School programmes are available year round, with public fossil tours in summer.
