CVIC is recognized by and registered with "Citizenship and Immigration Canada". We are entitled to write "Letters of Acceptance" necessary for our students/clients to apply for a Study Permit or Visa.

Study Permit
- If there is a possibility that you might change any of the conditions of your stay in Canada we strongly recommend you obtain a "Study Permit" rather than relying upon a "Visitor's Visa". A "Study Permit" must be obtained in your home country prior to coming to Canada.
- Changes can be made to Study Permit conditions from within Canada. Complete details can be found here. An application kit is available at the Citizenship & Immigration Canada website or we can supply a kit to you.
- Students possessing a Study Permit and attending an educational institute are not eligible to work in Canada except under specific circumstances that are explained here.
- If you will be studying at more than one institution be sure to explain this clearly to the Canadian authorities when you are applying for your Study Permit. For example you may wish to improve your English at CVIC so that you can attain a TOEFL score that will allow you to enter your chosen College, such as North Island College

Visitor's Visa
- A Visitor's Visa will allow up to six months study in Canada at a registered educational institute. A Study Permit is required if you plan to study beyond that period of time.

Locations of an Embassy/Consulate closest to you can be found here. In order to avoid possible delay it is important that you be very careful to completely follow all directions given by the Embassy/Consulate that you apply to. Otherwise your application may be rejected and it will be necessary to start the complete process over again. |
